How Can CPG Coal Gasifiers Reduce Dependence On Crude Oil?

India is facing a serious dilemma of rising energy requirements, dependence on imports, and volatile oil prices globally. Industries are now seeking stable, affordable, and local energy supplies in this context.

Coal gasification is becoming a viable and cost-effective technology for modern industries. CPG Coal Gasifiers generate producer gas (syngas) out of domestic coal and can be a cost-effective alternative to expensive fuels like furnace oil, LPG or diesel, for thermal applications like glass melting, lime kilns, metal processing, and many more. This technology can help industries reduce dependence on fossil fuels and lower operational costs.

What is coal gasification?

Coal Gasification is a bypass alternative for reducing import dependencies.

Gasification is the process which can convert coal into syngas and can be used in industries as an alternative fuel.

We manufacture two types of coal gasifiers with a capacity of up to 3000000 to 7500000 Kcal/Hrs

  • Hot Gas Model Coal Gasifier - For applications where raw & impure gas is required. For example, indirect heating (Coal Consumption - 1 TPH to 2 TPH per/hr at 2500 Kcal/kg CV)
  • Cold Gas Model Coal Gasifier - For applications where cool & clean gas is required. For example—Direct Heating (Coal Consumption - 0.1 TPH to 2 TPH per/hr at 2500 Kcal/kg CV)

Why Coal Gasification Matters for India?

Coal gasification is gaining more importance in India because it provides a secure alternative to imported fuels. It helps fuel substitution (such as petrol, diesel, LPG, and natural gas) for industrial heating processes to achieve better efficiency and lower costs.
It is widely applied in lime kilns, hot air generators, galvanizing units, aluminium die-casting units, copper/brass sheet production plants, and glass melting & annealing processes to provide stable and controlled heating for quality production.

In the overall context, it is expected to help the industries reduce their reliance on imported fuels, minimize their operational costs, enhance energy security, and promote manufacturing growth in India.

The Road Ahead
Finally, coal gasification is not only a source of energy. It’s a pivotal measure towards industrial autonomy and cost-effectiveness. This can help industries function more efficiently and sustainably by allowing for the substitution of fuel and decreasing reliance on costly imports. With India's path towards enhanced self-reliance, CPG Coal Gasifiers emerge as a shrewd and future-oriented solution for a more emission-free, reliable, and affordable energy supply for industry.
