Diesel substitution levels of over 70% can be achieved under stable operating conditions, resulting in substantial fuel cost savings. The combustion process in dual fuel mode is extremely clean, and exhaust emissions after gasifier installation are nearly equivalent to those of CNG, making the system compliant with prevailing environmental norms.
Capacity Range
CPG gasifier systems are available in capacities ranging from 20 kWe to 1 Mw. These systems are suitable for diesel engines from 34 KVA up to 2000 KVA, providing flexibility for small, medium, and large-scale industrial power requirements.
Fuel Flexibility
One of the key technical strengths of the Dual Fuel Gasifier is its ability to operate on a wide range of biomass fuels. These include wood, bamboo, wood chips, coconut shells, biomass briquettes, cashew nut shells, wheat husk, rice husk, pine needles, and more. Additionally, the system can operate on Refuse Derived Fuel obtained from Municipal Solid Waste, supporting waste-to-energy initiatives.
As a general guideline, one litre of diesel can be replaced by approximately five kilograms of biomass having a calorific value of 3000 to 3500 Kcal per kilogram.
Key Advantages
Existing diesel engines can be integrated with the gasifier system with only minor modifications. The engine retains operational flexibility and can run on 100% diesel or a combination of approximately 70% producer gas and 30% diesel.
The system offers one of the lowest energy generation costs per kilowatt among renewable technologies, with simple operation and low maintenance requirements. Clean emissions, fossil fuel replacement, eligibility for carbon credits, and approval from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy further strengthen the value proposition of Dual Fuel Gasifier technology.
